There is another famous Egyptian musician named Mohamed Abdel Wahab (1900-1991), so please do not confuse Dr.Abdelwahab with him. The famed Mohamed Abdel Wahab was an excellent traditional vocalist and musician. Dr. Abdelwahab El-Saghir is much younger than him and is a composer of art music that is based in both European and Egyptian tradition. He writes music for orchestra, electronic & electroacoustic music, movies music and various multi-media works.
