A synthesis of Western and Eastern styles in my music reflects my own cross-cultural perspective and experience. I think music can play in important role in promoting a better understanding and appreciation among Western and Arab peoples.
He is a composer from Egypt. He works as a Professor of theory and electracoustic at the Composition and Conducting Department of Cairo Conservatory, Academy of Arts (University of Arts in Cairo).
He was Visiting Scholar of Composition with a sabbatical leave (2007-2011) at School of Music, Boston University in Massachusetts, USA . 

He previously studied at the University of Performing Arts and Theater in Vienna, where he obtained a terminal degree
Magister Artium in composition with focusing in electroacoustic and experimental music, (1996). Two years later, he obtained a Doctor of Arts degree from the Academy of Arts in Cairo (1998).
